Fortunate to train directly with Anibal Lopes (CWO then Captain (Retired) of the Canadian Forces, lead for Unarmed Combat, and IKA Canada 6th Dan for 12 years, Steve Nash was an instructor of the Canadian Army Unarmed Combat system starting in 1989 and acted as the lead instructor for 1st and 2nd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment and the Canadian Airborne Regiment. Additionally, he qualified as an Instructor with Pressure Point Control Tactics for Pressure Point Control, Defensive Tactics, Spontaneous Knife Defense, and Ground Avoidance Ground Escape. He has also taken elements of the Compliance, Direction, Takedown program. His Masters’ Degree Thesis is on Close Operations and received and A Grade.
